Test Manager

Status:                                Exempt / Full-time, regular 

 

Position Summary:            

Manage the Test Department. Work on sustaining Products as well as New Production Introduction, developing Operation Method Sheets and Assembly Instructions on complex Semiconductor Systems.  Must work side by side with Assembly and Manufacturing Engineering Team, in a clean room environment, to provide necessary documentation for product builds and release to Manufacturing.  Provide Technical Writing/Illustration support to create Method Sheets.   Will be involved in ECO/ECR activities and process improvements and developments

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Develop test processes for new products and provide detailed test plans and appropriate documentation
  • Work with the design engineering team and provide feedback to the test process engineers to help close any test gaps based on the vendors and suppliers test processes
  • Perform cycle time analysis and develop a process gap analysis for existing test processes
  • Perform as a main point of contact in transferring new product to the manufacturing floor
  • Work as a team with the rest of the test engineering team to automate existing test processes and help reduce test time while keeping highest product quality
  • Provide training to the manufacturing teams upon release of any new product.
  • Develop/implement/support design, manufacturing and field service activities which address product reliability issues from an overall lifecycle cost perspective
  • Work with the manufacturing leadership team to develop and sustain department standards, processes and procedures.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Effective leadership skills, including the ability to lead through influence and persuasion.
  • Test Technicians

 

Education: 

  • Minimum BS degree in EE/ME (Advanced degree preferred).

 

Skills: 

  • Deep technical competence in an engineering discipline with preference in complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Six Sigma competency Black Belt preferred; understanding/competency in a GMP quality systems environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a strong technical presence.
  • Good judgment and decision making skills.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and thrives in an atmosphere of ambiguity and change.
  • Powerpoint, preferred
  • Excel, preferred

 

Experience: 

  • 10+ years technical level experience in a design and manufacturing engineering environment.
  • 5+ years technical leadership experience.
